ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON... The combination of low relative humidity, dry fine fuels, and gusty wind will create an elevated risk for wildfires this afternoon. Open burning of any type is considered extremely dangerous at this time. Any small fires could rapidly grow if they escape control. Be careful of heat and sparks while operating any equipment...and avoid smoking in wildland areas.
A warning is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely.
A watch is used when the risk of a hazardous weather or hydrologic event has increased significantly, but its occurrence, location or timing is still uncertain.
An advisory is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic event is occurring, imminent or likely.
In my opinion, these fires may be more than likely to happen because of the fireballs from space reaching the surface in ever increasing numbers.
